FAQ
Good questions, straight answers
Everything parents usually ask before enrolling at our Tower Hamlets tuition centres. Can't find your answer? We're one phone call away.
What do we offer?
At DLA, we are committed to providing top-quality education tailored to the needs of every student. Whether your child is preparing for SATs, GCSEs, or A Levels, we offer comprehensive support in English, Maths, and Science to help them achieve their academic goals.
Is DLA a safe and supportive place for my child?
Absolutely. We are committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to learn. Our classrooms are inclusive spaces where questions are encouraged, and mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities. We foster a positive atmosphere that nurtures both academic success and personal growth.
How will you ensure my child gets individual attention?
To ensure that each student gets the attention they deserve, our tuition is conducted in small group sizes. This approach allows our teachers to provide personalised support, helping students to build confidence and address any challenges they may face in their studies.
How will I know if my child is progressing?
To track progress and ensure continuous improvement, we conduct termly assessments. These assessments allow us to identify areas where your child may need extra help and provide targeted support to address those areas. We also believe in the importance of keeping parents informed. That's why we provide feedback after each assessment, giving you a clear picture of your child's progress.
Who will teach my child?
Our classes are led by qualified teachers who are experts in their subjects. Each tutor brings a wealth of experience and a passion for teaching, ensuring that your child receives the best possible guidance. We understand that every student learns differently, so we focus on creating a supportive learning environment where students of all abilities can thrive.
Can you support students of all abilities?
We believe that every student has the potential to excel. Our teachers are specially trained to teach students of all abilities, offering tailored instruction that meets each student's unique needs. Whether your child is looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead, we are here to support their journey.
How do you communicate with parents?
We maintain a strong line of communication with parents through a dedicated WhatsApp group chat, which we use to share important updates and information. While this group is primarily for us to communicate with you, we encourage parents to message, call, email, or speak directly to one of the DLA managers on-site with any questions or concerns. We are committed to working closely with you to ensure your child's success.
When are you open and how can we get in touch?
DLA is open only on Saturdays and Sundays during specific time slots to accommodate busy family schedules. To find out more about our available time slots or to discuss your child's needs, please call us on 07842 566 512 or email us at contact@directlearningacademy.co.uk.
What branches does your tuition centre have, and where are they located?
We currently have three branches serving our students. Our original centre is located in Poplar, and our Whitechapel branch has now been successfully supporting students for over a year. We are also excited to announce the opening of a brand-new centre in Aberfeldy this April 2026. Registrations are open for SATs, GCSE and A-Level tuition in English, Maths and Science across our centres.
